Job Description About the Role The Project Officer – GPLO Program supports the development, delivery, and evaluation of initiatives designed to improve collaboration between primary and tertiary healthcare providers. Reporting to the Manager, Integrated Care at the PHN and Program Manager, GPLO Program at Metro North Health, this role involves project coordination, stakeholder engagement, event support, and data analysis to drive impactful health system improvements. This is a max-term contract for 18 months with the possibility of extension. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the effective implementation of GPLO Program projects, ensuring alignment with the annual work plan and timelines. Support the creation and upkeep of comprehensive project documentation, including risk management and evaluation strategies, to ensure proper tracking. Develop communication strategies that engage healthcare providers and consumers, fostering strong relationships and understanding of the program. Provide robust governance support by preparing meeting agendas, papers, taking minutes, and creating progress reports to ensure transparency. Manage day-to-day administrative functions, such as scheduling, email correspondence, and diary management for the GPLO Program. Draft clear and concise correspondence, reports, briefing notes, and presentations, ensuring high-quality communication within and outside the program. Desired Skills and Experience Qualifications and Experience: Hold relevant tertiary qualifications or professional experience in health administration, project management, or a related field. Demonstrated experience in project coordination and stakeholder engagement within healthcare programs or services. Knowledge of primary and tertiary healthcare systems, with a focus on primary care delivery in the Brisbane North area. Proven experience in project management, including tracking project deliverables, assessing outcomes, and preparing comprehensive reports. High competency with digital systems and tools for contract management, project monitoring, and administrative functions. Lead and/or support GP/GPLO education and event activities. Strong ability to prioritise competing tasks, manage changing priorities, and meet tight deadlines efficiently. Skills and Attributes Strong organisational and project management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders. High attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Other A current driver’s licence is desirable and use of a personal vehicle may be required, including travel between workplaces. Work-related mileage will be reimbursed at relevant rates. Applicants will be required to fulfill Metro North Health’s credentialing requirements including Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) requirements. You will be required to work flexible hours.
