Our ACT State Government client is seeking a Project Officer to join on an initial contract until 30 April 2025 with potential extension. Project Officer | $59.95 p/h + super | Initial contract until 30/04/2025, potential extension | Canberra / WFH Hybrid | ACT State Government The Project Officer - Annual Report role is responsible for the preparation, review, and distribution of the Annual Report. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accuracy, clarity, and timely delivery of this task. The incumbent will work closely with different teams across the department to obtain necessary information and ensure the accuracy of the Annual Report. The incumbent will be guided by the requirements of the Annual Report directions and by the department's Executive. Key Responsibilities: Drafting content for sections on organisational overview and performance analysis in consultation with the Executive, marketing team, senior management, and key staff. Reviewing and compiling content provided by line areas. Liaising with the marketing team on the design and publication of the Annual Report. Liaising with other staff such as statisticians and Audit and Risk Committee secretariat to ensure content is delivered on time. Working with marketing to identify stories for inclusion as standalone content. Seeking all clearances as required. Drafting the ministerial brief. Proof-reading all material provided. Ensuring that the 2024 Annual Report is tabled by the legislative deadline. Key Requirements: Demonstrated highly developed writing skills, including the ability to prepare high-quality written reports tailored to internal and external audiences. Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to analyse needs, devise plans, execute them, and meet deadlines and quality standards. Highly developed research, analytical, and conceptual skills. Demonstrated practical working knowledge and experience of government processes and/or the Annual Report (Government Agencies) Directions 2024. Demonstrated experience in producing quality outcomes under pressure and the capability to project manage a range of complex workloads to meet defined deadlines.
