This includes making reasonable adjustments to support applicants at all stages of the process and employee lifecycle.For more information about the department, please visit our website.About QVA: The QVA: is a virtual education service for students requiring a specific curriculum subject or learning program unavailable at their base school; enhances access to curriculum and learning opportunities for students regardless of where they live by leveraging digital and virtual learning; supports, connects and coordinates available teacher expertise and quality learning programs, and makes these accessible to more students across Queensland; promotes innovation in virtual learning and develops supporting resources and systems for schools and teachers to use in their own contexts. Your Role: As Project Officer, under the direction of the Principal or delegate, your role will involve providing a variety of functions which may include managing a specific project/element within the QVA, including:providing administrative support to a particular program, activity or administrative function; ensuring the efficient operation of daily activities of the QVA including coordinating the daily flow of business and providing confidential administrative and executive support to the Principal or delegate; providing support to the Principal or delegate at meetings by preparing documentation, minute taking and follow up actions; preparing documentation for correspondence and communication purposes; liaising and coordinating within and across functions including office representation and oversight of other team members in this area; developing, implementing and reviewing executive support systems and procedures ensuring that they operate in accordance with requirements and encouraging an exemplary environment in which high quality services are delivered through continuous improvements in administrative systems, processes and leading by example; engaging with internal and external stakeholders and clients on behalf of the QVA, nurturing positive relationships within the QVA ecosystem including with participating schools. Capabilities include: knowledge of office operations and the ability to interpret legislation, regulations and other guideline material relating to the operations and functions of the work area; ability to investigate, analyse, interpret or evaluate information for the guidance of staff or clients, or undertake research in relation to policy matters; well-developed liaison and communication skills and the ability to negotiate with clients or other interested parties, within parameters decided by QVA leadership; significant managerial ability, including the ability to supervise staff, set priorities, monitor work flow, develop local strategies, procedures and work practices, and allocate resources; demonstrated personnel and/or project management skills, the ability to apply principles and procedures and legislative processes.
