Your New Role Absolutely mission critical appointment - because you love being important and involved in everything. Group level positioning, access to senior executives, project sponsors, project managers, project cost controllers, accounting, treasury, operations and more. You will provide the structure, governance, process, and procedures to ensure projects deliver the ROE/ROC/ROI sold in the business case. You'll develop easy to digest, impactful reporting suites for your stakeholders. You will strategically plan and forecast with enviable accuracy on a variety of construction related projects, along with sustaining capital investments, and a host of other projects. Larger projects will exceed $500m, so you best bring your big end of town experience and best practice with you. At every step of the project you'll track key milestone payments, ensure contractual performance, report on variances, WIP, all the way through project close out. You will make PowerBI sing beautiful songs for the executive team, probably the most exquisite reports they've ever seen - since you are the best there is. Your new role sits under the finance function, in close proximity to CFO, Financial Controller, Treasury, and the Project Management Office (PMO). You'll initially have 1 direct report, with the capability to hire additional staff as needed to ensure the work is delivered to a high standard. Your Profile You varied off the typical accountant path a long time ago to focus on projects. Something about the variety, challenge, and satisfaction of building something really motivates you to be your best at work. You've delivered a number of successful development projects, setting up reporting, keeping things on track and adhering to the highest governance standards. You are a people person, effectively communicating every day with a variety of key stakeholders, often with little to no finance background - they just want to build stuff - you want them to build it on time and on budget! You are great at influencing others to follow process, procedures, and drive successful outcomes. We definitely require your expertise in financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and PowerBI report writing skills. You are a commercially astute, strategic thinker, who is hands on with a get things done mentality - to a high standard, naturally.
