About the Organisation Melbourne & Olympic Parks is one of Melbourne's premier destinations, hosting millions of visitors each year for a dynamic range of events. Home to seven national sporting teams, the precinct is globally renowned for iconic events like the Australian Open, as well as world-class performances by international artists. M&OP is a vibrant hub for sport and entertainment, with a rich history of hosting major sporting fixtures, concerts, and shows. In recent years, the precinct underwent a $972 million redevelopment, ensuring it remains at the forefront of entertainment and sporting venues for years to come. Situated on a 40-hectare site along the Yarra River, M&OP connects six key Melbourne venues-Rod Laver Arena, Margaret Court Arena, John Cain Arena, AAMI Park, CENTREPIECE, and Kia Arena-making it a central landmark in Melbourne's cultural and sporting landscape. About the Role As the Project Support & Stakeholder Engagement Lead, you will engage with a broad range of stakeholder groups, including government bodies, sporting clubs, and entertainment providers. You will also collaborate with third-party consultants and internal teams to develop and execute a comprehensive communication plan. In the first year, your focus will be on supporting the exploration of the long-term vision for Melbourne Park, engaging stakeholders to understand their future needs and acting as the key link with consultants. Your efforts will support the development of the Melbourne Park Vision Plan, Strategic Capital Plan, and other significant planning initiatives, contributing to the long-term evolution of Melbourne & Olympic Parks. Duties Provide support for the M&OP Precinct Development Governance Framework, including coordinating meetings, documenting decisions, and assisting with project financials. Act as the primary liaison for stakeholder engagement, planning and scheduling meetings, and fostering relationships with key stakeholders such as Tennis Australia and precinct tenants. Contribute to the preparation and review of project briefs, supporting the development execution of the Melbourne Park Vision Plan and long-term capital planning for the Australian Open. Collaborate with the M&OP Communications team to develop and implement communications and engagement plans, ensuring timely and accurate messaging. Develop and provide input into project reports for internal and external stakeholders, attending meetings and documenting decisions and actions. Skills and Experience Strong organisational, planning, and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a proven ability to engage internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated experience in creating and implementing strategies, plans, and initiatives in collaboration with diverse stakeholders. Ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines while thriving in high-pressure environments. A tertiary qualification and/or 2-3 years' experience in a professional consultancy environment such as Architecture, Engineering, Town Planning, Project Management, or similar.
