Project/Senior Project Officer – Biodiversity $78,795 – $85,933 per yearHobart NRM South is seeking a Project Officer/Senior Project Officer to manage projects on threatened species, threatened ecological communities and/or ecological restoration. We are seeking candidates with experience in managing and delivering on-ground projects, stakeholder engagement and relationship management, and providing technical advice. This is a permanent position, based in Hobart, with flexible working hours (0.6 – 1.0 FTE). About us We work to keep the natural and productive landscapes of south-eastern Tasmania healthy over the long term. We play a key role in building partnerships, securing and directing investment, connecting knowledge and expertise to action, and increasing the capacity of others to engage in NRM activities. What you’ll do The Project Officer/Senior Project Officer (PO/SPO) will manage projects on threatened species, Threatened Ecological Communities and/or ecological restoration. The PO/SPO will have experience in managing and delivering on-ground projects and contribute to the broader Biodiversity Strategic Themes through activities including stakeholder engagement and relationship management, providing technical advice, and other tasks as requested by NRM South management. What you’ll bring You’ll have tertiary qualifications in ecology, restoration, natural resource management (botanical expertise will be considered favourably), or equivalent, with experience in managing and delivering projects. You’ll be working in a small team with people who share your values to protect Tasmania’s natural environment. Depending on experience, we offer a salary of $78,795 – $85,933 per year (pro-rata, where relevant), plus superannuation.
