Property (Corporate) Senior Counsel 10 + PQE Sydney Are you a seasoned property lawyer looking to take on a pivotal role in a global, market-leading property development company? Our client is looking to welcome a Senior Corporate (Property) Lawyer to join their high-performing legal team. Reporting to the General Counsel, you’ll play a key role in shaping major transactions and supporting large-scale property developments. What You’ll Do Lead Legal Support: Oversee legal aspects of property development, including acquisition and disposal, financing, leasing, and sales. Assist with project development and delivery agreements (including D&C contracts, minor works contracts and supply agreements). Advise on Joint Ventures: Work with third-party landowners and capital partners. Drive Strategic Transactions: Advise on acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, and other key corporate transactions. Liaise with internal and external advisers concerning taxation, FIRB, insurance, privacy, and other regulatory matters. Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure project success across diverse business units. Navigate Complex Issues: Provide expert legal guidance on regulatory matters, dispute resolution, and compliance issues with a commercial, solutions-focused approach. Requirements 10 + years PAE in property development/corporate real estate (private practice or in-house experience). Strong commercial acumen with the ability to offer practical, risk-aware legal advice. A collaborative mindset with the ability to engage stakeholders across multiple departments. Exceptional drafting and negotiation skills, with a keen eye for detail and efficiency. Experience in construction-related disputes and litigation is highly desirable.
