School Address: PO Box 10 Joondalup WA 6919 Position Details: Mater Dei College is looking for a temporary Property Manager to lead our Grounds and Maintenance Department as soon as practically possible.This position will be a leave cover until the end of Week 10, Term 2 (4 July 2025). We are seeking a confident, pro-active, organised individual to efficiently manage the operation of the College’s facilities by overseeing the maintenance, safety, aesthetic and upkeep of the school’s buildings and outdoor spaces.The Property Manager will be in attendance from Monday to Friday, full-time.The position will be responsible for a variety of tasks that are inclusive of, but not limited to: Overseeing and completing maintenance requests for staff, ensuring urgent and ad hoc repairs are completed in a timely manner. Ensuring the school grounds and sports fields/courts are kept clean and safe, so that they are suitable for learning and recreation. Working collaboratively with the Business Manager to perform project management duties for major and minor building projects. Coordinating security, including system maintenance and after-hours monitoring. Purchasing supplies cost-effectively and reviewing and verifying supplier invoices. Ensuring projects and maintenance work stay within budget and timeframes. Ensuring staff are trained and informed on procedures and guidelines. Selection Criteria: As the role requires a high level of autonomy, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively, the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a high level of organisational and time management skills, whilst supporting the Catholic ethos and values of the College.The successful applicant will also hold relevant building and/or trade qualifications, with a sound knowledge of Work, Health and Safety policies for safe work practices. Experience in Property or Facilities Management, including contractor supervision, is highly desirable.Additionally, the successful applicant will demonstrate clear and effective communication skills with students, staff members, and external stakeholders.Qualifications Required: Hold a current Working with Children Check (WWC). Hold a current National Police Clearance from the Department of Education. Hold or be working towards an Accreditation to Work in a Catholic School. Annually complete the online Child Protection Procedures and Mandatory Reporting Training and any other CEWA mandatory training. Highly Desirable Knowledge and Experience: This role requires a high level of autonomy, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively. Strong interpersonal skills, enabling harmonious and positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to be flexible and confident in different situations to provide assistance across a variety of tasks. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to problem-solve. Strong time management and organisational skills. Relevant building or trade qualifications. Knowledge of WH&S policies and safe work practices. Experience in an educational setting.
