Engage with passionate team members, volunteers and visitors and be part of bringing this site to life! About Wolston Farmhouse & National Trust of Australia Queensland The historic landmark, previously known as Wolston House, is situated in a rural setting dating back to 1852 – located a short drive Southwest of the CBD. Wolston Farmhouse was the first property in the National Trust of Australia (Queensland) portfolio and is a physical embodiment of everything the NTAQ represents: to conserve and advance our natural and cultural heritage for future generations. This role requires a practical, solution-focused mindset for property and grounds maintenance, along with the ability to lead and support a dedicated team of volunteers. Reporting to the Head of Heritage and Environmental Services, you will coordinate property and grounds maintenance, support their upkeep and support inventory management for the site. Additionally, you will oversee the cleanliness and upkeep of restrooms and public areas, and take pride in the presentation of the property ensuring it is welcoming for guests. A key aspect of your role will be managing the volunteer workforce, including recruitment, training, and ongoing support. You will also assist with school group visits as needed and provide backup when required for site openings every second Sunday. As a confident communicator, you will engage with visitors, local community groups, and educational programs to promote the site and its offerings, ensuring that all activities comply with health and safety standards, making it a safe and enjoyable experience for guests, team members, and volunteers. About You To be successful in this role, you will have experience in property maintenance, volunteer coordination, or a related field, along with the ability to communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
