About the role: This business-critical role is responsible for the identification and pursuit of new sales opportunities with a remit that extends throughout Queensland. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the role works closely with the sales team to develop mutually beneficial proposals, negotiate contract terms, and manage relationships with existing clients. This position will have input into the development of effective strategies that will bolster sales, improve service and guarantee customer satisfaction. This role is remote based, with regular travel expected in and around Queensland. The successful candidate will also travel to New South Wales quarterly to meet with the wider team. The remote element of this role will require a candidate who is accountable and self-driven to succeed. Key Responsibilities (but not limited to): Conducting thorough market research to identify key architectural firms, specifiers, and decision-makers within the target market Developing and delivering engaging technical presentations and in-house product demonstrations showcasing the unique advantages of products and solutions Driving specification of products and systems through architectural support and promotion of new/existing products to market Developing a business development strategy based on financial gain and customer satisfaction Acting as a primary point of contact for specification-related inquiries, offering prompt and effective responses, sampling, and product knowledge support Participating in industry events, conferences, and trade shows to boost brand visibility and generate new business opportunities Nurturing current client relationships and exploring ways to advance them beyond current agreements Preparing sales contracts, ensuring adherence to guidelines as outlined by the organisation's process and procedures About You: Demonstrated work experience in specification sales, with an existing knowledge with decorative building products (highly desirable) Can utilise market intelligence to support effective business development, networking, identify growth opportunities and develop effective sales strategies Adept at building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, business partners and industry contacts (existing networks in the industry advantageous) Robust skills in Microsoft Office and exposure to navigating contemporary CRM software Can produce concise and detailed reporting and follow through on established key performance indicators Why Join?
