Role An education support class position at this range will perform tasks that are carried out in accordance with guidelines, accepted practice, and school policy under supervision and direction. This may include coordination of other education support class staff within the work area or educational program. An education support class position supports the educational services being provided to students but must not include duties of a teacher as defined in clause 2.6.1 of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic) or its successor. Responsibilities Specific Duties Participate in general duties commensurate with the position standard within the skill level of the participant and be willing to undertake further professional development. Front of house reception duties, directing the school community and other visitors to the relevant areas or people. First point of contact for incoming phone calls and responding to enquiries. Participate as back up in the general offices in the absence of another staff member. Carry out required procedures to maintain the College keys register. Maintain the College phone list and liaise with the external software company to update the staff extension register when required. Monitor offer stationery and place orders as required. Student administration including receipting, family queries, payments and student attendance. Work with the Assistant Principal to carry out the required procedures to complete student Census. Carry out required procedures to enable administration of student enrolments and exits. Administration support to the Junior Student Engagement and Wellbeing Leader for Year 6 to Year 7 Transition. Compass and Cases administration to also include Parent Teacher Interviews and Parent Opinion Survey. Other duties that may be required by the Principal / Business Manager. First Aid Provide First Aid assistance to DET standards. Check and replenish First Aid stock requirements. Document, monitor and communicate student medical conditions. Deliver the mandated anaphylaxis training. Assess students, as required, after they have been triaged at the General Office. Other duties that may be required by the Principal / Business Manager. Working With Children's Check, Police Check and First Aid essential.
