Position Number : 15882 Position Classification : Administration Officer 5BI ($87,249 - $91,794) Reporting to : Talent Manager & People Partner Licences : Applicants must have an Ochre Card and a current Police Check and/or the ability to obtain these prior to commencement. Required Qualifications : Original certified copies of qualifications must be supplied. Tenure : Permanent Full Time Applications close : Monday 27th January 2025 Purpose of the Position This position requires a comprehensive knowledge of contemporary recruitment strategies and practices. The Recruitment and HR Advisor fosters a client-focused approach, solutions-based and is service-oriented. The role requires a deep understanding of the Institute’s needs, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage candidate relationships effectively. Duties Support and maintain effective human resources strategies. Build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Support employee recruitment and onboarding. Provide advice to the wider organisation on recruitment strategies and activities. Contribute and support Induction and mandatory workshops as required. Maintain records within People and Culture and talent management systems, including reporting to relevant stakeholders. Utilise applicant tracking system and other related recruitment software. Undertake other reasonable duties as directed by your line manager. Key Selection Criteria Demonstrated ability to work effectively in culturally diverse teams within the social, political, and cultural environments of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families, communities, and organisations. Highly effective interpersonal skills including proficient written and oral communication which can be adapted to meet the needs of people from all educational levels. Demonstrated experience in the application and usage of relevant Microsoft Office applications, and either Human Resources, Talent Acquisition or knowledge of payroll and its integration with recruitment. Demonstrated initiative and managing workload priorities. Ability to negotiate and influence all relevant parties to achieve the mutually desired outcome in the best interest of Batchelor Institute. Understanding of Work Health and Safety principles and practices, and ability to comply with Institute WHS Policies and Procedures.
