The School of Education has been awarded more than $3 million over the next three years as part of the expansion of the Australian Government’s High Achieving Teachers (HAT) program pilot to address the long-term workforce challenges currently facing the teaching profession. At Western, the pilot program will draw 100 applicants from a talented network of Community Language Teachers who among them teach more than 80 different languages. About the Opportunity The School of Education is seeking an experienced Project Officer to support the School to deliver the High Achieving Teachers (HAT) program in Western Sydney. The role will assist with coordinating connections between stakeholders, partners and a senior academic project team. The successful candidate will organise reporting for milestones and deliverables and prepare documents to support the research and evaluation activities associated with the program (ethics applications, collecting data, data entry and analysis, preparation of reports). The role will also track the project budget and support the Advisory Group for the program. This is a part-time (0.6FTE | 21 hours per week), fixed-term position until 31 January 2027. The position will be based at Western’s Penrith (Kingswood) Campus, although travel to other campuses of the University may be required. (comprising Salary of $61,376 to $66,201 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading) Please note the above salary is pro-rata based on 0.6 FTE.
