The NSW Decarbonisation Innovation Hub (NDIH) supports the NSW Government’s goal of net zero emissions by 2050 and the interim objective to reduce emissions by 50% below 2005 levels by 2030. It is a central component of the Net Zero Industry and Innovation Program in support of NSW net zero targets. Three strategic priority areas (Networks) are nested within the NDIH, one of those being the Land and Primary Industries (LPIN), hosted by Western Sydney University. The Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) Grants provide funding for medium to long-term, industry-led collaborations, and aim to solve industry identified problems and improve competitiveness, productivity, and sustainability of Australian industries. The LPIN is currently working on a Round 26 CRC bid on Agrisolar. The submission of the CRC is a two-staged process, Stage 1 submission is due in March 2025 and Stage 2 submission is due approximately six months later. The Opportunity Are you a proactive and organised individual with a passion for project management and stakeholder engagement? Western’s Hawkesbury Institute for the Environment are seeking a dedicated Project Officer to join our team and support the Agrisolar CRC Bid. In this role, you will liaise with internal and external stakeholders, building collaborative working relationships with all involved parties. You will provide significant project and administrative support to the CRC Bid Director and the CRC Bid Working Group. You will also ensure compliance with Australian Government guidelines on CRC submission of partner details within the overall CRC Bid. The Project Support Officer will work alongside the Director to ensure the funding bid is submitted on time and within funding guidelines, by ensuring milestones are met throughout the bid process, communicating project updates within the team, and maintaining an accurate research partner database for research collaborators. Your responsibilities will also include coordinating representative attendance for events such as industry and research partner workshops and online information sessions. You will manage these events from start to finish and collate and distribute communications generated at these events to all attendees and other relevant industry partners. This is a part-time 28 hours per week (0.8 FTE), fixed-term opportunity for 6 months. The position will be based on the Hawkesbury campus, although may be required to travel to other campuses as well as to external agencies and networks. About You You are a highly qualified professional with a strong background in a relevant field, supported by tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience. Your knowledge of the solar/energy industry and agriculture/farming is a valuable asset. You have a proven track record of working with multiple stakeholders, including government, industry, and practitioners. Your experience in supporting lead investigators and coordinating various projects in a research environment demonstrates your ability to manage complex tasks and meet deadlines effectively. Your ability to prepare and disseminate comprehensive reports and briefs is exceptional. You have successfully supported major funding applications, ensuring key milestone dates are met and budgets are monitored accurately. Your analytical and problem-solving skills are well-developed, allowing you to navigate challenges and find effective solutions. You excel in developing and delivering engagement, outreach, and communications services. Your experience in organising events showcases your capability to manage end-to-end event coordination. Your computer literacy skills are advanced, enabling you to efficiently handle various administrative tasks.
