As part of our investment in a cleaner future, our Major Projects team require an Approvals Manager (Environment & Planning) to support our sustainable growth, through the full life cycle of new projects. The Opportunity In your new role with us, you will be regularly interfacing with external stakeholders, such as regulators, Local and State government representatives, landholders in addition to various internal Lochard personnel. You will be expected to improve governance and efficiencies, manage relationships with regulators, including but not limited to, Dept. of Energy, Environment & Climate Action, DTP, Energy Safe Victoria and the like, whilst ensuring timely submissions are adequate and compliant. Applicants will ideally come from a role with related experiences and we are looking to help you propel and expand on your skills. To date, you ideally will have gained some exposure on how Health, Safety & Environmental factors impact project development, as we will seek your input, from project exploratory, kick-off and handover. This position will challenge a suitably qualified and experienced applicant, who is available on a permanent full-time basis in Melbourne. The opportunity will suit someone who is skilled in the coordination or management of the development and submission of required approvals for key projects in Australia. The Requirements Tertiary bachelors degree in a relevant field 3-5 years of relevant experience in Australia Prior experience developing or addressing EES or EIS on projects in any industry will be advantageous A self starter, who is well organised and driven Persuasive verbal and written communication skills Prepared to work from our Southbank office at least two days per week Willingness to travel to project sites in regional Victoria as required Next Steps If you are looking to recharge your career after building some strong foundations, we can offer you a career with a collegial team, the option to work between home and our Southbank offices, whilst giving you the tools and a team of down to earth professionals around you to develop further.
