SCC have an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader, in the new role of Regional Clinical Support Manager - West , to provide assistance in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and compliance with accreditation standards across multiple Residential Aged Care Homes located in Miles, Tara, Taroom as well as Chinchilla. The biggest of these homes, Illoura Village in Chinchilla is currently in the final stages of an exciting redevelopment and expansion to cement further its place as the hub for the local community. Competitive salary package + benefit of NFP salary sacrifice options Hybrid work environment Financial support programs Supportive organisation with great staff culture Ongoing individualized training and mentoring programs Employee Assistance Program for employees and their families Purpose driven organisation making a real difference About the role Working collaboratively with the Regional Operations Managers, in this role you will be providing day-to-day clinical operations leadership and support to the Residential Managers and Clinical Managers of each home, supporting them with advice, guidance and education to help drive better care outcomes for residents and uphold standards of excellence in care provision. Reporting to the Head of Residential Aged Care, working in this key role of Regional Clinical Support Manager for your region your focus will remain on supporting our homes in Chinchilla, Miles, Tara and Taroom through: Clinical Oversight and Support Provide clinical guidance, advice and support to Residential Managers, Clinical Managers, Clinical Nurses and Registered Nurses in the delivery of clinical care and services. Conduct regular assessments of alignment of clinical practices with policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices. Provide incident management support including additional investigation and review with a focus on learning and preventing future occurrences. Monitor and analyse clinical data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for staff education and development. Support the clinical leads in each home in responding to findings of internal audits, identifying gaps, managing incidents and risk, conducting remedial work and implementing treatment plans leading to improved quality of care outcomes. Partner with Nurse Practitioners to ensure acute and complex care needs are monitored, managed and reported. Support the Quality Support Manager in the provision of data to meet the requirements of the National Aged Care Quality Indicators Program (QI Program). Staff Training and Development Deliver education and training for clinical staff in response to clinical risk trends, gaps and improvement areas as identified in day-to-day monitoring. Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the clinical team. Collaboration and Communication Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols related to clinical care as well as facilitate communication and collaboration between clinical staff, Residential Managers, and other departments to ensure seamless coordination of care. Build key relationships with relevant internal departments and external stakeholders to support growing communities where best lives are lived through the application of the known and loved cultural pillars. Regulatory Compliance Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and accreditation standards governing aged care services. Work closely with the Governance team, regulatory bodies and external auditors to address any areas of non-compliance and implement corrective actions as necessary. What will you bring to the role? Current AHPRA registration (Registered Nurse or allied health practitioner). Demonstrated understanding of clinical management principles and practices with an emphasis on continuous improvement. Ability to support, mentor and grow people. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to lead and relate to all levels of management, employees, volunteers and customers on a regular basis. Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary theory and practice within the Aged Care sector, including knowledge of current legislative requirements and Standards of the Aged Care Industry. Highly developed verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, with an ability to communicate with all stakeholders. Ability to travel between SCC sites with overnight stays (including weekends) at short notice. Who is Southern Cross Care?
