About this role As Bribie Island and Caboolture Home Care Service continues to grow, we’re looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team on a Permanent Part-Time basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide in-home clinical care, supporting elderly clients to live safely and comfortably in their own homes. Working Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, you’ll enjoy a great work-life balance while making a real impact on the well-being and independence of those in your care. This position involves regular travel between clients' homes, which is a key part of the role. A valid driver’s license and a fully insured, comprehensively covered vehicle is required. You will be reimbursed for using your own vehicle, with an allowance of $0.96 per kilometre. Key responsibilities include: Assessment and Care Planning : Conduct comprehensive assessments to develop and regularly review individualized care plans, ensuring they are evidence-based and tailored to each person's needs. Care Delivery : Implement care strategies that enhance the quality of life for residents/clients, maintaining compliance with accreditation standards. Collaboration : Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including Personal Care Workers and Support Staff, to provide holistic care. Documentation : Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records in accordance with organizational and legislative requirements. Leadership : Provide guidance and support to care teams, fostering a positive and collaborative environment. What you can bring to the team As a Registered Nurse in Home Care, you’ll be a vital source of clinical support for a dedicated team of care staff, offering expert guidance and advice as needed. Here’s what you’ll bring to the table: Expert Clinical Support : Share your nursing expertise to guide and mentor care staff, conduct thorough health assessments, and ensure the highest standards of care. Leadership in Action : Be the go-to person during shifts, providing problem-solving, advocacy, and team coordination to keep everything running smoothly. Enhanced Care Delivery : Refine care plans, maintain compliance, and lead in emergencies to ensure every client receives the best care. To be suitable for the position, you will have: Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse. CPR certification and a valid driver’s license. A genuine passion for caring for the elderly and vulnerable. Possess or willingness to obtain: National Police Certificate Influenza vaccinations Desirable: Home Care and Nursing experience Postgraduate qualifications in Aged Care, Dementia, or Gerontology. Experience in mobile device documentation.
