The Alasdair Macdonald Acute Medical Unit (AMU) is a 25 bed high acuity unit focusing on acute medicine, with a strong multidisciplinary approach to healthcare. Our dedicated team cares for a diverse patient population, specialising in acute medicine, gastroenterology, endocrinology, renal, and respiratory medicine, including non-invasive ventilation. The Role: Strengthens health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families and other health professionals. Practice in accordance with the NMBA codes and guidelines for registered nurses and midwives. Contribute to the maintenance and promotion of a safe work environment. In collaboration with members of the healthcare team plan, implement and evaluates patient/client care. Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a strong team approach through open communication and a positive supportive approach. Details of appointment: Permanent, part time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working 64 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agreed date. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies. Salary: $78,179 to $105,995 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Access to the Grade 4 salary range $99,455- $105,995 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4. Salary Packaging: You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible. Benefits available to eligible candidates: Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $15,000 for eligible appointees from overseas, and up to $10,000 for appointees from interstate.
