We care for a range of surgical patients undergoing Orthopaedic, Plastic & Reconstructive, Gynaecological, General, Breast, and Ear, Nose & Throat Surgery. The staff on 5B believe in a multidisciplinary team approach to health care that places the needs of our patients and their families/carers first through communication and collaboration to facilitate a safe discharge from hospital. We provide a supportive environment for learners and place a heavy focus on teamwork to assist in facilitating the needs of our busy surgical ward. The Role: Supports and works collaboratively with less experienced members of the healthcare team and participates in orientation, precepting, clinical teaching, overseeing learning experiences, and goal setting for nursing novices. Is responsible for the clinical supervision, coaching, and assessment of nursing novices within 5B. You will need: Works in collaboration with and under the general direction and guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager and is accountable for providing a high standard of professional nursing care to patients, clients and their families or carers, working as a member of a team. Actively promotes and supports learning and development of novice practitioners through clinical coaching. Responsible for the ongoing management and the delivery of agreed outcomes pertaining to the clinical coach portfolio as agreed in collaboration with the Nurse Unit Manager. Details of appointment: Permanent part time, shift worker position, working up to 24 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agreed upon date. *notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Salary: $99,455 - $105,995 pro rata, per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Access to the Grade 4 salary range $99,455- $105,995 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4. In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type.
