Excellent career progression opportunity Challenging and rewarding work environment Pro-active and supportive leadership About this role: This full or part time ongoing/part-time fixed term position within Koala Ward will allow you to ensure positive health outcomes for patients through your ability to implement management and leadership skills to maintain the delivery of safe, evidence based nursing practice. What You Will Achieve: Clinical competence: Provides and ensures clinical nursing is delivered competently with the goal for excellence in nursing care. Timely access: Contributes to efficient patient flow through the RCH to ensure the right patient receives the right care, in the right place, at the right time. People management: Conducts and maintains a professional safe team culture. Staff development: Maintains an environment that enables continuing professional development for self and nursing staff. Positive experience, zero harm: Leads systems that promote and advocate a safe, supportive environment for patients, families and staff. Classification: YP3 - YP9 (base salary $81,364.90 - $100,146.80 per annum, plus superannuation) Your Skills and Experience: Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) administered through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA). Demonstrated commitment to ongoing personal and professional development, as evidenced in a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) record/Professional Practice Portfolio (PPP). Recent experience in an acute, medical, surgical, and/or specialty area of nursing. Paediatric experience (desirable, not required). About Koala Ward: Koala ward is a 30-bed unit providing specialist care to children ranging from neonates to 18 years, with cardiac and renal conditions with a ranging acuity including high dependency and special care nursery patients. Our patients admitted to Koala Ward come from all over Victoria, Australia and Overseas to receive specialist cardiac treatments including cardiac surgery, cardiac transplant, medical therapies and electrophysiology and specialist renal treatments including medical and surgical management, renal transplant, and peritoneal dialysis.
