Job Description We are seeking passionate, flexible and dynamic Registered Nurses with strong acute experience to join our Epworth Geelong 5 West team on the Medical/Oncology ward. Opportunities exist to work in a permanent capacity in a 32 bed Oncology unit located at Epworth Geelong. You will be responsible for providing evidenced-based care to Oncology and Haematology patients as well as General Medical and Palliative care. You are an experienced registered nurse who either has prior experience working in Oncology or who wants to start their Oncology career. You will be passionate about patient care and achieving high quality clinical outcomes. A strong communicator, you have a supportive and engaging style that enables you to easily build rapport with patients and their families. You enjoy collaborating with team members to support the development and growth of the service. You will make an impact by: Delivering high quality nursing care and an exceptional patient experience within the Medical/Oncology Unit Utilising a reflective, critical thinking and evidence-based approach to the clinical care of patients Offering education and support to patients and their families Role modelling empathy to patients, families, and the medical team Ensuring patient flow is managed whilst providing high standards of patient care To be successful in this role: Hold current nursing registration with AHPRA Have contemporary knowledge of best practice in medical nursing care and the patient journey Chemotherapy competency and/or experience (desirable) or a willingness to complete chemotherapy training and complete further advanced specialist skills training Demonstrate compassion in achieving high quality clinical outcomes Demonstrate critical thinking and a collaborative approach to patient care If you have a background in these areas and are looking to expand your career horizons and growth opportunities, please reach out and talk with us!
