Apply now Job no: 502386Work type: PermanentLocation: South BrisbaneCategories: Registered Nurse/Midwife About the role Mater Private Hospital Brisbane’s busy Welcome Lounge & Day Procedure Unit is seeking Registered Nurses to take up permanent full time and maximum term contracts (12 months) positions, working 38 hours per week.These roles offer the opportunity to utilise best practice in the delivery of quality nursing care to our patients while working with a dynamic and supportive nursing team in a purpose-built setting. Mater's Welcome Lounge & Day Procedure Unit will see you working within a range of areas including pre-operative waiting area, recovery bays and a discharge area, and the day surgery service. This unit forms a critical part of Mater Hospital Brisbane’s Surgical and Acute Nursing Services. Our exceptional nursing team are required to provide quality care across all these areas, presenting opportunities and variety. As an enthusiastic and motivated Registered Nurse, you will use your experience and skills to provide quality care to patients who are admitted for day surgery and inpatient care, always ensuring excellent standards of nursing care and working closely with patients and their families ensuring they experience a sensitive, welcoming, and friendly environment at all times. About you The successful applicant will possess: Recent surgical and/or perioperative experience including the management of patient process from admission through to discharge Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions) Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with other health professionals and community services in the delivery of health care Excellent communication, problem solving and negotiation skills A demonstrated awareness of and involvement in quality and risk management Mater is Queensland’s largest and most innovative not-for-profit healthcare service, providing care for almost 700,000 patients a year across a network of 11 hospitals.
