Positions are available in the following areas: Scrub/Scout There are permanent full-time, part-time, and casual positions and you must be available for all shift types including day, afternoon, after hours, and on-call. Education and training opportunities are available for the successful candidate. Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton's perioperative services comprise five operating rooms, two day surgery rooms, seven recovery bays, and a central sterilising unit. The Theatre Complex offers pre- and post-operative recovery care, as well as specialised endoscopic and laparoscopic procedures. The surgical specialties include orthopaedic, obstetric, gynecologic, ENT, oral, urology, pediatric, general, vascular, spinal, and ophthalmic surgeries. As a Registered Nurse , you will use your extensive experience to provide essential support to our patients and Clinical Nurses in activities designed to aid the sustainability of the department and assist with the progression of service improvement. As an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse , you will provide patient-centred nursing care under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse on duty. Core responsibilities include supporting patients in the activities of daily living, assisting in meeting basic human needs, and recognising the normal and abnormal assessment, intervention, and evaluation of patient health and functional status with ongoing communication with the Registered Nurse. Experience within theatre and anaesthetics is highly regarded. You will also: Have current registration with AHPRA with no notations Demonstrated nursing experience within a perioperative setting or have transferable skills in another acute area that can be developed with professional training Be able to manage your time effectively to meet deadlines and recognise priority tasks Work within a multi-disciplinary team environment with a focus on exceptional patient-centred care and customer service Digital and computer proficiency You must be able to be rostered for day and afternoon shifts and after-hour on-call.
