Exciting opportunities are available for full-time, part-time, or casual positions as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse in our Short Stay Unit (SSU). Join our fast-paced, friendly nursing admissions and day surgery discharge team at Epworth Freemasons, located at East Melbourne. This role will be based at Freemasons Clarendon Street and Victoria Parade Day Procedure Unit as required and will fit around your needs and could comprise a mix of both DOSA admissions and SSU discharge shifts ranging from 06:00 starts to 22:00 finishes depending on our needs and your availability. Shifts are typically 8- or 10-hours Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday mornings (no nights or Sundays). We need a mix of ENs and RNs and can accommodate both limited and extensive experience. You will find the unit well-organised, cheerful and be supported with supernumerary learning time. We expect casuals to work at least one shift per week. You will make an impact by: Providing an outstanding patient experience Providing education to pre-operative & post-operative surgical patients Providing an accurate, knowledgeable and friendly service to colleagues, patients and medical consultants To be successful in this role: Possess a current nursing registration with AHPRA Be highly accountable and demonstrate a supportive and engaging style Be passionate about patient care and delivering high quality patient focused services Have excellent communication skills and an outstanding phone manner Ability to enjoy a fast-paced, dynamic environment Experience in a surgical environment is well-regarded We will review applications as we receive them. About Epworth Freemasons Epworth Freemasons consists of two sites. The Main Hospital is on Albert Street East Melbourne has a total of 12 operating theatres. The Victoria Parade site is just across the road and consists of an additional 6 theatres, including our Maternity wards. Freemason’s primary specialities include: Orthopaedics, Gynaecology/IVF, Urology, General, Plastics, ENT/Maxfax Ophthalmology and Endoscopy.
