As the Regulatory Approvals Manager, you will play a critical role in understanding planning and environmental requirements and in developing appropriate responses to enable the construction of Vestas' wind farm projects to occur responsibly. Your expertise will guide us in making informed decisions on planning and environmental matters. The Regulatory Approvals Manager will be part of the EPC&CBOP team in Customer Project Execution (CPX). Working alongside the Sales, Bid Management, and Procurement teams, you will be responsible for assessing planning aspects, developing timelines, risk assessments, and leading planning and environmental regimes. Responsibilities: Review various project approvals, legislative and permitting requirements relevant for each project. Define the various project obligations and requirements to inform colleagues on risk and timeline for each item. Liaise with both clients and subcontractors to ensure there is a clear allocation of responsibilities between project parties. Collaborate with colleagues and subcontractors when required to integrate any considerations into project design and planning. Manage environmental or planning consultants, if required, for any specific task. Stay updated on environmental regulations, industry trends, and best practices in renewable energy development. Support in the development of environmental management plans to monitor and mitigate impacts during construction and operation. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in either Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, Ecology, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental planning, preferably within the renewable energy sector. Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, permitting processes, and compliance requirements. Experience with environmental impact assessments and mitigation strategies. Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills. Knowledge of general civil construction. Proficiency in GIS and other environmental planning software is a plus. Knowledge of project approvals, legislative and permitting requirements. Passion for renewable energy and sustainability. Strong attention to detail and communication skills. Strategic focus with commercial understanding. Strong Environmental and Safety focus. Able to work across cultures and foster a supportive team environment. Willing to travel to wind farm sites across Australia and New Zealand.
