About our team GM Technology & Major Cap Group | ICT Division | Visa Citizenship & Digital Systems | Release & Program Management / Health & Digital Correspondence Release & Program Management The Release & Program Management (RPM) section engages across ICT Division and with immigration business colleagues in assessing and coordinating end-to-end delivery of ICT outcomes across the ICT Division. The section oversees the delivery methodology of Scaled Agile Framework. The RPM provides program management for the delivery of ICT Visa and Citizenship related work identifying upcoming future Visa and Citizenship work, capturing an ICT timeline for conversation and subsequent planning for resourcing requirements, and surging where and when required across the Division. The RPM will coordinate and manage costing and effort requests for all ICT Visa and Citizenship work, coordinating with other relevant ICT branches and business teams. The RPM will collate all assumptions, risks and issues and will be the conduit between business areas and ICT Division for all NPP and DCB work. Health & Digital Correspondence The Health & Digital Correspondence (HDC) section develops and maintains the Department's Health, Correspondence and Settlement systems including: eMedical Health Assessment Portal (HAP) Enterprise Correspondence Service (ECS) Thunderhead Adult Migrant English Program/AMEP Reporting Management System (ARMS). HDC plans and delivers new business requirements for areas such as Migration Health, Offshore and Onshore Panel Physicians, the International Organisation for Migration and partner Five Country Conference countries; Canada and New Zealand. HDC provides full technical support, including a Level 3 Helpdesk to ensure system availability and program support for dependent visa and citizenship processing systems. Our ideal candidate Release Train Engineer The ideal candidate for this role is required to: Possess strong leadership and accountability skills Be responsible for the successful delivery of Agile Release Train (ART) related features, overall operation and function of the ART, and ensuring ART capacity and efficiency Have experience in facilitating ART events such as PI Planning, SoS, Scrum Master Sync, and Inspect & Adapt sessions Ability to mentor and coach Scrum Masters, providing guidance and advice on delivery as needed Skilled in monitoring ART velocity and working with Scrum Masters to identify capacity and delivery flow enhancements Act as an escalation point for Scrum Masters regarding feature/user story delivery issues and provide support in resolving exceptions and clearing bottlenecks to improve delivery flow Experience working with Product Managers to resolve delivery exceptions, monitor and refine the ART backlog, and ensure features meet the definition of discovery and/or delivery readiness Engage with Product Owners, SMEs, and Scrum Masters as needed, and provide inputs into the development of the product pipeline/roadmap in collaboration with architects and technical leads Skills in prioritizing and scheduling enabling features and features outside of the Visa & Citizenship domain in collaboration with the Product Manager Have a strong background in agile methodologies, excellent leadership and mentoring skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of ART-related features and overall efficiency. Relationship & Program Manager As part of the leadership team, the Health Systems Program Manager is responsible for the coordination and delivery of critical projects, maintenance, and minor enhancement programs for the supplier of the international health system used by Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and the United States of America (USA) under a high-level MOU. The successful applicant will work to design and implement high-level program delivery on behalf of all partners of the eMedical system. Working with a small team, they will manage the roadmap of system changes, set delivery targets, monitor delivery outcomes, manage stakeholder expectations, estimate and monitor costs, and coordinate all reporting for system change and maintenance for eMedical at operational and high-level meetings including international boards. They will draw on their ICT knowledge to help shape the strategic direction of the program to ensure the system is stable, scalable, and modern. Duties and responsibilities The duties and responsibilities will include and not be limited to: Manage a team of technical staff to deliver a program of work including projects, BAU, minor enhancements, and defect management Stakeholder management Prepare and maintain project delivery plan Monitor delivery progress from start to end on a regular basis Prepare and coordinate change requests Escalate and coordinate issue and delay resolution Coordinate end-to-end release cycles in consultation with business areas, testing, and configuration functions to ensure successful system deployments Work as part of a management group to maintain day-to-day operations and develop strategic plans for the support Assist in the development of financial estimates and schedules that feed into the broader program of work If required, participate in outside work hours/on-call as directed by management Represent Operational Systems at key forums within the ICT Division and with business Ensure changes and releases are properly documented and progressed through the appropriate environments and quality checks Support knowledge transfer and ensure that systems are properly documented Manage and effectively resolve issues and project risks Provide inputs to Change Management and Release Management regarding release schedule preparation Liaise with deployment and environments team to discuss deployment and run charts Capacity planning As part of your daily activities, you are responsible for creating complete and accurate records in accordance with the Recordkeeping Practice.
