Overview: Full-time, Fixed Term position for one year Salary Academic Level A6-A8 ($98,122 - $105,323 + 17% Superannuation) Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, but may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University About You: This position will be employed as part of the newly awarded CRC-P, titled “Advanced wireless charging infrastructure to electrify heavy-duty vehicles,” with ACE Infrastructure Pty Ltd as the lead industry partner. This position will primarily be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing supercapacitors for wireless charging facilities to support electric heavy-duty vehicles. To be successful in this position, you will have: Demonstrated experience and track record in the areas of advanced materials for automotive and/or renewable energy sectors. Relevant experience with supercapacitors is preferable but not compulsory. Ability to generate alternative funding projects through effective liaison with industry and government. Ability to work autonomously whilst displaying a strong commitment to work in a team environment, including the ability to confidently and effectively work with colleagues, project team leaders, and industry partners. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, effectively manage varying workloads, and respond to changing priorities as required. Demonstrated a high level of communication skills.
