Academic Level D: $155,180 - $170,518 + 17% superannuation contributions. The College of Medicine & Dentistry at James Cook University is seeking a dynamic and experienced Research Lead to spearhead groundbreaking projects in Mackay. ABOUT THE ROLE As the Research Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovative research initiatives, collaborating with a team of dedicated professionals, and ensuring the highest standards of academic excellence. Your responsibilities will include: Developing and implementing cutting-edge research strategies aligned with the College's vision and goals. Identifying and pursuing funding opportunities from various sources, including government agencies, industry partners, and private organizations. Mentoring and guiding research teams, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment for outstanding scholarly work. Promoting interdisciplinary collaboration and facilitating knowledge-sharing across different fields of medicine and dentistry. Disseminating research findings through publications in prestigious journals and presentations at national and international conferences. QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE To excel in this role, you must possess a Ph.D. or equivalent qualification in a relevant field, coupled with a strong track record of successful research projects and publications. Exceptional leadership, communication, and project management skills are essential, as well as a genuine passion for advancing the frontiers of medical and dental knowledge.
