Employing more than 350 staff, CMAX is a 78-bed clinical trials unit, with a database of more than 50,000 clinical trial participants, and utilising state-of-the-art facilities, we are primely positioned, opposite the Royal Adelaide Hospital and part of the Adelaide BioMed City precinct. About the role: CMAX Clinical Research is looking to hire Research Physicians, either permanent full-time or permanent part-time (no less than 3 days per week). This role is a great opportunity for someone wanting exposure to early phase clinical trials in a commercial environment or a clinician wanting the flexibility of a part-time medical role. The Research Physician is responsible for: Conducting physical examinations and medical history assessments as part of the participant screening process; Reviewing and authorising clinical pathology reports, vital sign and ECG measurements; Providing medical care and monitoring the well-being of patients/volunteers; Documenting, monitoring and reporting adverse events; Liaising with clinical and non-clinical staff to conduct tasks required to fulfil Human Research Ethics Committee approved study/trial protocols; Building strong working relationships with study nurses, patients, trial participants, external medical personnel and the Principal Investigator. About you: Hold a current unconditional medical registration with the Medical Board of Australia and Medical Indemnity insurance; Be ALS2 certified, or willing to undergo this training; Demonstrate strong interpersonal & communication skills; Have the ability to work flexible hours, including after hours and occasional weekends if required.
