This position is required to perform translational research projects within the CRC for Cell therapy Manufacturing and is the link between basic research and full GMP manufacturing in the clean room laboratories of CMT at RPA. To conduct research on milestone-driven grant funded projects, leading to development of clinically-relevant cell and gene therapy manufacturing methods. In this position you will translate your skills in cell enrichment, cell expansion, gene transfer, flow cytometry, quantitative PCR, and bioassays into validated processes and procedures to produce commercial ready data. Ideal Candidate Bachelor’s degree in Science and experience in a relevant area of research such as haematology, immunology, cell biology and/or cancer biology. Demonstrated outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including presentation and publication of scientific reports, and development of written standard operating procedures. Recent experience in writing research proposals for projects involving the use of human cells and/or genetically modified organisms. Availability and willingness to participate in an on-call and out of hours call back roster to meet operational and project requirements.
