Position Summary The Reservations Supervisor is responsible for selling the hotel and providing information to prospective guests, to capture reservations via various online and offline distribution channels and coordinate details of each reservation to ensure the highest level of customer service. This role takes ownership of all room reservations. The role collaborates with the Reservations Manager, Operations and Finance Teams to ensure maximum guest satisfaction and delivering results according to agreed revenue strategies. The role Responsible for the first impression of the hotel and committed to ensuring a professional, flawless and warm pre-arrival experience. Coordinate guest requests from various department and delegating tasks through the appropriate system. Ensures that team members comply with the hotel's operating standards and policies to provide consistent luxury service. Process all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received via phone, email and extranets. Understand the hotel's cancellation and deposit terms and conditions and process cancellations and modifications accordingly. Promptly relay information to the relevant team members, to ensure optimal utilization of hotel inventory. Ensure that reservations are recorded according to agreed system codes, to track business under the correct rate plan, market segment and booking source. Act as a liaison between travel partners and the hotel in communicating and managing availability, pricing and room reservations. Acts as a point of escalation for any guest or colleague concerns. Talent Profile Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role at luxury hotels/resorts. Excellent people and negotiating skills, paired with profit-oriented business thinking. Excellent level of personal presentation and grooming. Knowledge of Property Management, Customer Relations Management and Distribution systems. Excellent verbal and written skills. Strong communication skills via phone. Flexible in working mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Existing working rights in Australia.
