Add expected salary to your profile for insights Residence Manager (RM) is responsible to manage, monitor and deliver on all expected outcomes as per the Australian Quality & Safety Commission Agency (ACQSC), other regulatory requirements, Human Resources and Financial Management of Aeralife Watergardens home. This Position reports to Regional Operations Manager and is a key member of VIC leadership team. At Aeralife Watergardens , you’ll be part of a team that enables a secure and connected community. How you will make an Impact Role Model: Acts as a role model for the organisation and contributes to the efficient and effective management of human, material and fiscal resources according to the strategic plan and operational budget, this involves remaining on 24-hour call in the case of emergencies. It also involves having strong knowledge of all resident health conditions by attending regular hand-over, completing care plans and their reviews via coordinating the consumer of the day schedule. Rosters: Ensure appropriate knowledge and skill mix is maintained on each shift. Monitor roster as required to ensure there are adequate staffing levels and replacement of staff occurs including for sick leave and annual leave. Resident Rights: Ensures rights and responsibilities of consumers are provided and follows up concerns raised by consumers or their families. Quality Improvement: Coordinates continuous improvement activities relevant to consumer care, contributes to the strategic planning of the organisation. Clinical Supplies: Purchasing and maintaining minimum stock levels related to all clinical items. Departmental Reporting: Supports timely AN- ACC documentation and funding levels in relation to the goals of the organization in consultation with the AN-ACC Manager. Communication: Coordinate and liaise with residents their representatives, and all other health care professionals including doctors, pharmacy, physiotherapy, podiatrist, mental health consultant and aged care assessment teams to ensure the provision of the best possible care to our consumers. It also involves following up with all consumers and their representatives after a transfer to and from hospital. Clinical Benchmarking: Review and evaluation of all incident forms to ensure the best possible care outcomes are achieved for our consumers. This involves implementing preventative actions to ensure risks are either eliminated or minimised and reviewing them for effectiveness in relation to areas such as falls, infection control, aggressive behaviour, skin tears, medication management. What you need to be able to demonstrate: Registered Nurse with current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Undergraduate, graduate or post graduate qualifications in Management or appropriate business qualifications. (Working towards the same may be considered). Minimum three (3) years’ experience in Residential Aged Care. Experience in the re-accreditation process and related assessment visits conducted by the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission (ACQSC). Sound knowledge of the Aged Care Act 1997 and subordinate principles. Sound knowledge of the Australian National Aged Care Classification funding model (AN-ACC). Sound knowledge of the Aged Care Standards and expected outcomes. The ability to write business cases, reports and regulatory responses. Excellent computer literacy and competency in electronic care systems. Experience in Key Performance Indicators and an unambiguous understanding of clinical governance and accountability.
