About the role: MacKillop’s Out of Home Care (OOHC) programs provide residential care, home based care, lead tenant and case management support for young people with high and complex needs, as well as a therapeutically oriented program for young people in protective placements. Our Residential Services offers accommodation and support to children and young people who are referred through the Child Protection system. The House Supervisor is responsible to oversee the daily care of clients provided by residential care workers within their allocated residential care unit. The House Supervisor is a part of the Out of Home Care Program and reports to the Residential Care Coordinator. This is a Permanent Full-time opportunity based in Croydon, VIC within our Out of Home Care Program. The position reports to the Residential Coordinator. Key Selection Criteria: To be successful in this role, you will have: Relevant bachelor's degree with experience including four (4) additional mandatory competencies (top up units); or Relevant Diploma with substantial experience including four (4) additional mandatory competencies (top up units). Demonstrated ability to supervise, lead and support a team of residential care workers. Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the residential care field, particularly within a therapeutic environment. Proven ability to relate to and work with young people with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to support and lead a team. Proven skills and experience in development of behavioural management programs for children and adolescents with challenging behaviours.
