About the role Geelong Disability Services is seeking a dedicated and experienced SIL House Supervisor to join our team in Geelong, VIC 3220. This part-time role is an essential part of our Supported Independent Living (SIL) program, overseeing the day-to-day operations and care of our residents. What you'll be doing Supervising and supporting a team of Support Workers to deliver high-quality care and support to residents Implementing individualised support plans to meet the unique needs of each resident Following Behaviour Support Plans and implementing restrictive practices as per the BSP. Keeping household inventory and maintaining financial records. Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and organisational policies and procedures Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records and documentation Fostering a positive and inclusive environment that promotes the independence and wellbeing of residents Collaborating with other healthcare professionals and stakeholders to coordinate seamless care Providing leadership, mentoring, and training to the Support Worker team What we're looking for Relevant tertiary qualification in Disability, Community Services, or a related field Minimum 2 years' experience in a supervisory or management role within the disability or aged care sector Strong understanding of the principles of person-centred care and the ability to implement them in practice Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with residents, families, and colleagues Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on delivering positive outcomes for residents Proficient in the use of technology and data management systems NDIS Worker Screening Check Current First Aid and CPR certification A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle What we offer At Geelong Disability Services, we are committed to supporting our employees and fostering a positive work environment.
