Come join our Resort Operations Team at Mt Hotham Alpine Resort! 28th February, 2025 The opportunity: Our Waste Services Officer forms a part of our dedicated Resort Operations Team performing essential tasks that keep the resort running smoothly.We are looking for qualified forklift drivers with a heavy rigid licence who will primarily be responsible for an array of tasks associated with the collection of solid, organic and recycling waste at the resort.In this vital role, you will not only provide an essential service but also ensure we are meeting the sustainability initiatives to preserve the natural beauty of Mt Hotham.Key accountabilities: Day to day coordination of collection of domestic and solid waste from the Hotham village to the Transfer Station (Danny's Shed) and sorting and processing activities including sorting and cardboard baling. Support to the Resort Operations Co-Ordinator - Waste to undertake waste and recycling processing at Cobungra landfill and green waste processing facility. Support wider Resort Ops and Environment Teams with customer/stakeholder engagement to provide education, collaterals and undertake deliveries of consumables (bags) to stakeholders and visitors. Skills, experience and qualifications: Current Victorian driver’s licence with Heavy Rigid endorsement Forklift ticket Ability to work in a team environment and in a role requiring a high level of fitness and aptitude for heavy lifting Demonstrated experience working safely and adapting to changeable weather conditions *Due to the nature of this role, employees are required to be fully immunised and up to date against Hepatitis and tetanus.* Need more details?
