A unique and charming restaurant operating 5 nights per week in Ballina is seeking a passionate and competent Restaurant & Events Manager. We are searching for an experienced and motivated Restaurant & Events Manager with exceptional restaurant service, people management and organisational skills. You will work closely with a small team of passionate industry professionals to ensure that every customer has an authentic and memorable dining experience from start to finish. Prior experience working in fine dining restaurants and/or bars is a must. We pride ourselves on our commitment to quality, service, and our customers' satisfaction. As our Restaurant & Events Manager, you will play a crucial role in upholding these values and building upon the success of our restaurant. For this position we are seeking someone who will be responsible for: Co-ordinating all events and functions. Hiring, training and managing team rosters. Welcoming, seating, taking orders and serving food and beverages. Preparing drinks and cocktails. Providing assertive service and suggestive upselling. Opening/closing the floor and directing other team members during service. Managing bookings, walk-ins and seating throughout the evening. Contributing to future event planning & marketing. Methodical thinking and problem solving. Outstanding communication and leadership skills. Fostering co-operation and respect between co-workers. Required: RSA required. Who we're looking for: Someone who is passionate about food, wine & hospitality. 3+ years experience in a high-end bar or a la carte restaurant environment. Someone who takes initiative, is self-motivated, professional, with strong attention to detail. Ability to multi-task and think on your feet. Thrives working as part of a team and can work autonomously. Dedicated to providing our clients with an excellent dining experience. Well-presented, punctual and with exceptional attention to detail. Clear communicator on both phone & email. The successful applicant will be required to work a flexible schedule between Tuesday - Saturday weekly and public holidays as required.
