We employ almost 2600 staff and provide empowering, personalised services to over 13,500 people with disability, their families and carers each year. About the role The position will have oversight and management of revenue processes and practices. It will hold responsibility to ensure that revenue from all facets of the business is claimed and invoiced correctly and in accordance with relevant contracts and price guides. Further, that any issues are resolved in a timely manner. It is the responsibility of this role to forecast revenue; and identify any shortfalls in the claiming and invoicing process. This role is required to offer solutions to resolve these shortfalls in collaboration with other parts of the organisation. The position should also manage the debtors ledgers ensuring on-time payments, DSO management, accuracy of customer balances, and escalation of issues on a timely basis and in line with policies and procedures. The typical duties of this position include: Maintain an extensive knowledge of NDIS price guide and other contracts related to revenue. Maintain a sound knowledge of Northcott’s services. Thoroughly understand the Customer financial set up within CMS. Thoroughly understand the NDIA claiming requirements and ensure relevant rules and pricing is implemented in a timely and effective manner. Resolve billing errors within a timely manner. Be the lead contact for internal and external reviews and audits of customer records and billing data. Ensure records are appropriately kept to enable audits of customer records and billing data. Develop reporting tools to communicate revenue performance and compliance against any price guides and contracts; to validate data and identify gaps. Respond to internal and external Customer enquiries about NDIA claiming and contract acquittals. Ensure that any system changes necessary to enable claiming are effectively executed and implemented. Design and develop reporting tools to validate data and identify gaps. Work with the wider finance team and business to communicate revenue results and pricing guidance. Collaborate with any internal or external audit of revenue and claiming. Analyse data for patterns of lost revenue, determine the cause, and collaborate with other organisational arms to devise and implement solutions to resolve. Ensure that any write-off of revenue is well communicated and has the appropriate authorisation. Ensure that any changes in claiming methodology is well documented and appropriately approved by the Financial Controller, CFO and appropriate senior leadership (where necessary). Report on any foreseen claiming or contractual issues and ensure that the relevant senior leaders have the detail required to advocate for customers. Monitor and report on debtors ageing, DSO, and difficult debtors. Escalate aged debtors in a timely manner and per policy. Oversee Direct Debits and rejections. Provide recommendations for provisioning of debt and debt write-off. Prepare cashflow projections of cash receipts. Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with other Northcott services and departments. Adhere to Northcott policies and procedures, in particular, the Code of Conduct. Comply with, report on and actively participate in Northcott’s Safety & Injury Management Procedures and Northcott’s WH&S Procedures. Other duties as determined by Manager. What are we looking for? Ability to manage the team to achieve agreed outcomes and timelines. Ability to work independently, carry out strategic goals and direct the team. Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build professional relationships and effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders. Creative thinking in recommending process changes to gain efficiencies and quality processes. Good technical and system skills including the ability to understand Advanced Excel and Access Databases. Commitment to the rights of people with a disability. Confidence and capability in analysing, interpreting, and communicating complex datasets from a variety of financial and non-financial databases/tools. Ability to understand and interpret the appropriate price guides, contractual obligations and rules. Qualifications and experience required: Bachelor Degree in Accounting. Demonstrated experience in process mapping and review. Demonstrated experience with revenue management and complex pricing structures in a service environment. Demonstrated experience in control and risk reviews. Demonstrated experience in preparation of daily, weekly, monthly revenue forecasting reports. Demonstrated experience in analysing revenue against forecasts, and providing meaningful reporting on variances. Demonstrated experience in communicating complex issues to a wide audience. Demonstrated experience in managing a team to achieve a desired outcome. 3+ years of relevant experience in the disability sector. Advanced knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is essential.
