About the role Reporting to the Franchise Compliance Manager and the Chief Internal Auditor, this role is responsible for planning and conducting compliance audits as part of overall monitoring and evaluation under the franchise agreement, covering relevant franchise operations to ensure proper adherence to internal controls, and franchisor recommended policies and procedures. You will report all non-conformances in writing, including to senior franchisor management. As the Franchise Compliance Officer, you may also assist with ad-hoc investigations and other monitoring activities. This role requires travel within VIC and TAS to audit planned stores throughout the year. Responsibilities include: Accounts Payable (Creditors) – e.g., expenses. Stock control – e.g., goods receiving, stock adjustments, stocktake review. Accounts Receivable (Debtors) – e.g., aged debtors, bad debts, credit claims. Refunds and Credits. Cashbooks and Reconciliations – e.g., GST, bank reconciliation. Health and Safety requirements and processes. Payroll. About you You will have previous experience in a similar position, with at least 3 years of experience in audit or administration in retail. You will also have the ability to work efficiently both autonomously and as part of a team. You will also have: Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Report writing and strong analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
