About The Role This part-time position reports directly to the Food & Beverage Duty Manager and is perfect for an experienced hospitality professional ready to take on their next challenge. This role requires availability on Fridays and Saturdays, ensuring you’re part of the action during peak times when the energy is high and the atmosphere is vibrant. Working closely with the Food & Beverage Duty Manager, you’ll be integral to the daily operations of Lovedale Bar + Grill, ensuring that our guests enjoy a seamless and memorable experience. You’ll help maintain the vibrant, welcoming atmosphere of our hotel venue while delivering top-notch service to every guest who walks through the door. Key Responsibilities Provide exceptional service: Ensure all guests, both locals and visitors, receive friendly, professional, and efficient service. Collaborate with the team: Work closely with guests, the Chef, and the kitchen brigade to manage menu details, address guest feedback, and resolve service-related issues. Maintain venue standards: Liaise with your team to ensure that the venue meets our high service standards. Supervise and lead: Utilize your proven leadership experience to guide and motivate your team, ensuring smooth and effective operations. Ensure cleanliness: Assist in coordinating the cleaning and maintenance of the outlets, workspaces, tableware, utensils, and equipment. Support operational excellence: Encourage and support the team in exceeding client expectations consistently. Revenue recording: Ensure accurate recording of shift revenue, including completing a cash/charge summary to reconcile daily activities. Bar and cocktail expertise: Bring your in-depth knowledge of cocktails and barista skills to the table, delivering top-notch service in a bar or restaurant setting. Leadership experience: Previous experience in a supervisory role within a fine dining or premium service venue is preferred. Health & Safety compliance: Adhere to all hotel health and safety guidelines (WH&S) and maintain a safe working environment. Team collaboration: Assist other departments or outlets when needed to ensure overall operational success. Attend meetings: Participate in all scheduled meetings, contributing to team alignment and communication. Additional duties: Perform any other tasks as directed by the Lovedale Venue Manager and Food & Beverage Manager. Flexible availability: The ability to work most weekends, including public holidays, in line with the fixed 7-day roster that aligns with the Vista Lounge’s operating hours and other Food & Beverage outlets at the hotel. Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA): A current RSA Certificate is required to ensure compliance with legal obligations and safety standards.
