We have partnered with a prominent client in the Manufacturing industry sector in Australia to hire a SAP CO Lead. Role Description This is a contract SAP CO Lead role located in North Sydney, NSW. The SAP Lead will be responsible for business process analysis, consulting, and implementing SAP FICO solutions. The role requires on-site presence and involvement in day-to-day SAP processes. Engagement: 12-month contract Location: Sydney, Australia Industry: Manufacturing Key Responsibilities: Lead SAP CO module implementations, migrations, and enhancements in SAP S/4HANA for the manufacturing industry. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and translate financial controlling requirements into SAP solutions. Configure and customize Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Product Costing (PC), Profit Center Accounting (PCA), Internal Orders (IO), and COPA (Profitability Analysis). Ensure seamless integration with SAP FI, MM, and PP to support manufacturing operations. Work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize cost accounting and reporting processes. Conduct gap analysis, blueprinting, and solution design for controlling-related business processes. Provide user training, documentation, and post-go-live support to ensure smooth adoption of SAP CO functionalities. Guide junior consultants and provide technical leadership in SAP CO implementation projects. Stay updated with SAP S/4HANA innovations and recommend best practices for cost management and controlling. Required Skills & Qualifications: 8+ years of experience in SAP CO, with at least 2 full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementations in the manufacturing industry. Strong expertise in Product Costing, Material Ledger, COPA, and Cost Center Accounting. Hands-on experience with SAP HANA-based reporting and Fiori applications. Proven ability to work with business users and finance teams to drive SAP CO best practices. Experience in costing run, variance analysis, and financial planning within a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of SAP FI integration with CO and other logistics modules (MM, PP, SD). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. SAP certification in CO or S/4HANA Finance is a plus.
