The opportunity: The SAP Platform Architect plays a vital and strategic role in designing and implementing SAP strategies, roadmaps and solutions that align with the Enterprise Architecture and business objectives of the organisation. This position focuses on understanding business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and designing SAP solutions that drive operational efficiency, enhance workflow and decision-making capabilities. The Architect will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, project managers, and developers, to gather requirements and translate them into actionable solutions that meet organisational needs. What you will do: The SAP Platform Architect is a specialised professional who has broad exposure to the SAP product suite including but not limited to S/4HANA, BTP (Development, Integration, Datasphere, SAC), and SuccessFactors covering Order to Cash, Record to Account, Hire to Retire, Procure to Pay business processes. Key responsibilities include: Provide inputs to the Enterprise Architecture team for any technology solution assessments from the SAP Platform point of view. Develop SAP solution strategies, business cases, roadmaps, solution architecture, and implementation plans. Ensure the compatibility of the SAP system components in alignment with the SAP Roadmap. Ensure SAP standard best practices are configured, and any customisations (if allowed) adhere to SAP clean core principles. Identify potential risks, business and technical challenges, and devise preventative strategies or solutions. Develop and maintain documentation related to SAP solution architecture and disaster recovery operational procedures. Collaborate and conduct workshops with stakeholders to align business needs with SAP capabilities. Lead cross-functional teams in the implementation of SAP projects. Ensure the integration of SAP solutions with existing systems is done as per integration best practices leveraging SAP Cloud Platform Integration. Ensure data is secure and always protected from unauthorised use as per security best practices. Establish and promote best practices for SAP implementations and governance. Ensure compliance with industry standards and compliance requirements. Stay updated on SAP innovations and emerging technologies. Recommend strategic initiatives that leverage SAP capabilities for business growth. What we are looking for: Proven history of successful SAP project delivery and relevant business experience is essential. Strong understanding of both SAP technologies and business processes. Excellent interpersonal skills. The ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
