SIRA Inspector, Ongoing opportunity based across the Sydney Metro Area The State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) is looking for an Inspector to join the SIRA Inspectorate. The SIRA Inspectorate is a dynamic and agile team that engages with employers across NSW to improve worker outcomes through ensuring employers are compliant with their obligations under workers compensation legislation. Your responsibilities will include: Regular travel to meet with and assess employers to improve outcomes in the workers compensation scheme. Engagement with a variety of businesses across all industries. Exercising SIRA’s regulatory powers in the workers compensation policy, injury management, and return to work legislative context. Assess and apply appropriate enforcement actions to findings. Align team workplans to SIRA’s strategic plans and track outcome measures to ensure actions are effective. Leading and/or participating in team QA activities Actively contribute to a positive team culture and learning environment About you: As the ideal candidate to join our SIRA Inspectorate team, you will have: Knowledge and understanding regarding the application of legislation The ability to assess practices against legislative obligations Excellent communication skills to balance a supportive approach and a compliance approach Experience in written communication, a flexible attitude, and an ability to manage competing priorities Strong stakeholder engagement skills Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work Experience in regulation, compliance, return to work, and/or personal injury schemes is preferred but not essential If you want to be part of this forward-thinking, innovative team that thrives in challenging the status quo, we would love to hear from you!
