Leonardo Australia is the Australian subsidiary of Leonardo International, offering full support services including engineering and maintenance including logistics management and other related support functions. Helicopter activities include helicopter gearbox overhauls in our state-of-the-art MRO facility. We also perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, aircraft modifications and deployed support to customer maintenance activities. Our typical customers work in emergency services, offshore operations, in both government and private sectors including defence. Leonardo Australia has two key divisions, Helicopters and Electronics. Leonardo Australia's Electronics Division performs research, design, development, production, customer support and marketing of Leonardo's extensive range of Naval Communications in defence applications, predominately Naval. The Australian subsidiary is a full-service operation undertaking business development, logistics management, assembly and maintenance and other related support functions. Leonardo Australia’s activities are concerned with equipment and system upgrades, capability enhancements, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, modifications and deployed support to customer maintenance activities. About the role The Sales and Marketing Manager Geospatial will be responsible for leading Leonardo Australia’s Space Sales and Marketing activities in the Indo Pacific region, identifying new opportunities and prospects for the Sales pipeline. This role will have direct interaction with the e-GEOS Joint Venture (80% Telespazio/20% ASI) to propose e-GEOS solutions (Earth Observation and Geospatial Information) and identify Australian companies with which to make collaboration agreements.The role will also manage the customer interface for Federal and State Geospatial and Satellite Imagery Panel Agreements and Contracts. Key Responsibilities Include: Work with e-GEOS and Leonardo Australia to define a Business Plan to map the opportunities and strategy for growth in the Earth Observation and Geospatial Information market in the Indo Pacific. Implement this plan to build a new sales pipeline including the establishment of networks, events and customer groups. Provide and generate competitive analysis for the Earth Observation and Geospatial Information market in the Indo Pacific. Contribute to business strategy for all Earth Observation and Geospatial Information related activities in the Indo Pacific. Act as Leonardo’s key Account Manager for all Earth Observation and Geospatial Information related activities in the Indo Pacific. Co-ordinate with the e-GEOS in Italy to ensure that the opportunities being pursued are in line with Leonardo Company global strategies. Defining and implementing dedicated Key Account Plans for identified customers. Promoting e-GEOS Leonardo Australia where possible to maximise business opportunities. Participating & driving bid phases to ensure the best solution offerings. Participating in major projects, sales and business reviews. Updating Executive Management with regular reports on Earth Observation and Geospatial Information account activity. Establishing & maintaining the consistent e-GEOS and Leonardo corporate brand image at all times, specifically throughout all product lines, promotional materials and events. Representing the company at trade association meetings to promote the company and product portfolio. Meeting with new & existing clients to build relationships, negotiate & close deals. Preparing periodic business development & sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, areas of proposed client base expansion. Qualifications, Licenses & Clearances: Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration or equivalent. Current Baseline Australian Defence Security Clearance or ability to obtain. Clean National Police Clearance, or ability to obtain. Required Skills & Experience: 5+ years experience in Business Development and/or Sales & Marketing in the Earth Observation and Geospatial Information sector. Experience working in the Earth Observation and Geospatial Information sector. Ability to interface within a complex international organisation. Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills. Ability to create networks, influence stakeholders internally & externally. Ability to address strategic & operational commercial issues. MS Office / CRM / SAP.
