Job Description

Smart Energy are seeking a skilled Salesforce System Administrator to join our team. This role is a critical part of our technical operations, focused on development work, technical implementation and day-to-day user support. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, hands-on experience with Salesforce, and a passion for delivering technical solutions. Key Responsibilities Configure Salesforce to meet business needs, including creating custom objects, fields, page layouts, record types, validation rules, and automations using Flow. Implement role hierarchies, sharing rules, and permissions to ensure secure and efficient access control. Development and Customization Develop custom Lightning Web Components (LWCs) to enhance user interfaces and functionality. Create and maintain Apex classes, triggers, and Visualforce pages to support complex business processes and integrations. Optimize and troubleshoot custom solutions to ensure performance and scalability. Reporting and Analytics Design and build custom reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights to stakeholders. User Support and Training Provide day-to-day technical support to Salesforce users, troubleshooting issues and addressing inquiries. Develop and deliver user training and documentation to enhance adoption and proficiency. Specialized Focus Areas Leverage Field Service Lightning (FSL) to optimize service operations, implement scheduling rules, and configure mobile workflows. Maintain and enhance Community Sites to ensure a seamless and engaging user experience to teams. Project Work Collaborate with project teams to deliver solutions effectively. Act as an active team member in sprints, completing assigned tasks and contributing to the successful delivery of project goals. Communicate progress, blockers, and outcomes effectively with project stakeholders and team members. Adapt to changing priorities and requirements while maintaining focus on delivering high-quality solutions. Qualifications - Required Skills and Experience Hands-on experience with Salesforce in configuration. Proficiency in declarative tools and automation (Flow etc.). Strong understanding of programming fundamentals (e.g., object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms) with experience in any language such as Python, Java, or JavaScript. Solid understanding of Salesforce reporting and analytics. Preferred Skills Experience working in the renewable energy industry. Experience working in an Agile environment. Knowledge of integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware tools like Zapier is advantageous. Soft Skills Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a detail-oriented approach. Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
