Job Description

The Role Under general direction, the Education Officer will undertake the administration of bookings and staff rostering for onsite and outreach Education programs. This position will also assist in the delivery of the School Wreath Laying Ceremony program and the orientation of school groups on arrival and within the Education Orientation Space.The Education Officer will assist in the development and delivery of a range of Education and public programs for visitors on site at the Memorial, as well as web-based learning resources, and will participate in the mentoring and training of casual staff as required.Core Responsibilities Under general direction as a member of the Education team, perform a range of tasks including: Administration of the school bookings’ system and staff rostering process, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, and contributing to regular corporate reporting Promotion of the Memorial’s Education services and programs to a diverse range of stakeholders including teachers, tour operators, and community groups Provision of front of house customer service to a diverse range of visitors including schools and community groups The development and delivery of curriculum-linked, commemorative, onsite, and online Education and public programs to a range of visitors Manual handling and movement of a variety of items, including Education collection and props, gallery interactive trolleys, and Memorial Boxes Position Details Ongoing - Full Time - APS 4 $71,560 - $78,001 Campbell, ACT Requirements The successful candidate will be required to have an ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration.
