Seeking Engineering / Maintenance Manager who is a Trade Qualified Fitter Seeking: Engineering / Maintenance Manager with a Trade Qualified Fitting and Turning background.Location: South Eastern Suburbs.Industry: Metal Manufacturing.Experience level: 8 - 15 years.Personality traits: A self-starter, proactive, genuine & humble, loyal, trainable, a good listener, honest, tenacious and with excellent people skills and emotional intelligence.Annual Salary: Market rate and negotiable for the right candidate.Qualifications: Trade Qualified Fitter & Turner - Must be hands-on (the role is 80% hands-on and leading people with 20% office work).Our client is seeking an Engineering / Maintenance Manager who is a trade qualified fitter to lead a team of 15 - 20 people and support a production team of 40 - 50 working across 3 shifts, over 6 days.Organisational skills, team leading, people skills, a hands-on attitude / operating style, high mechanical aptitude and continuous improvement mindset are essential for this role. Ideally, you will have a solid background and work experience in the metals manufacturing field or in an industry with a similar manufacturing process to metals (heating & cooling) which will help with understanding the current equipment they have (furnaces) and how to continuously improve the factory to support production & sales.IMPORTANT: It is a requirement of all our jobs that you have a PR or AU/NZ Citizenship.
