Why You’ll Love This Role: As a Senior Administrative Officer , you will be a vital part of our Children, Youth, and Families team, ensuring smooth operations and supporting our mission-driven initiatives. Your role encompasses a variety of administrative tasks, from managing communications to coordinating events and maintaining staff records. What You’ll Do: Administrative Support: Handle phone and reception inquiries, maintain schedules, manage correspondence, and oversee office equipment maintenance. Event Coordination: Arrange travel, schedule meetings and interviews, prepare agendas, and organize meeting venues and catering. Office Management: Develop and review office procedures, manage filing systems, and ensure efficient information management. Staff Administration: Maintain staff databases, monitor compliance certifications, process timesheets, and assist in recruitment and supervision. Financial Processing: Handle supplier invoices, credit card reconciliations, and support financial reporting. Cultural Sensitivity: Work respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff and communities, promoting culturally inclusive services. Qualifications and Experience: Certificate IV in a relevant field or equivalent experience. Minimum of three years in a similar administrative role. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities. Understanding of office administration processes and equipment. Desirable: Experience in the not-for-profit sector. Additional Requirements: Current driver's license. Ability to obtain a National Police Certificate, Working with Children (Blue Card), and Child Safety and Personal History Screening Check (LCS).
