Senior Advisor, Governance & Corporate Secretariat Role Type: Temporary (up to 6 months with potential to extend), Part-time (one (1) day per week - Friday) Location: Sydney Clerk Grade: 09/10 - Salary Range: $125,693 - $138,510 pa (pro-rata) + superannuation About the Role Be part of a forward-thinking, innovative team and thrive in a challenging, fast-paced environment in the Strategy and Performance directorate in SIRA’s Office of the Chief Executive. The Strategy and Performance directorate supports SIRA to carry out its core regulatory functions by providing a diverse range of critical enabling services such as governance and corporate secretariat, audit, risk, compliance, ministerial and parliamentary, privacy, information access and management, workforce capability, strategy and corporate reporting services. This role is a Sydney-based role. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work dynamically across other streams within the Strategy and Performance directorate to support delivery of core business functions where needed. In this role you will: Coordinate and deliver high-quality advice to internal and external customers to support the efficient operation of services to meet business unit outcomes and priorities. Provide expert advice to stakeholders and customers to respond to and resolve complex issues in a timely and effective manner in line with established plans, timeframes, and policy objectives. Monitor work volumes, report on emerging issues and trends to recommend and implement changes and strategies to improve business unit activities and services and ensure delivery of high-quality services in line with performance standards. Maintain current knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, programs and services, to provide recommendations that contribute to continuous improvement and achievement of best practice. Develop and maintain relationships with customers and stakeholders, to influence outcomes, and to develop awareness and trust in the team to support optimal service delivery. Monitor and review programs and their implementation and progress and prepare reports and submissions to inform outcomes and support decision making. About you To be successful in this role, you will need: A can-do attitude with attention to detail and proven experience in getting things done. Knowledge and understanding of governance and secretariat processes. Excellent problem solving, research and analytical skills and the ability to make appropriate recommendations. Good interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate confidently and effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to prepare executive-level reports and presentations.
