Job Description About the Opportunity The Senior Advisor - People Data provides data, information and insights to support the achievement of a capable, engaged and productive workforce that is fit to deliver the strategic and operational goals of the University now and into the future. The position performs complex data transformations and visualisations which support the design, development, and delivery of Payroll and People Analytics projects. This is a key role in the Workforce Planning and People Analytics team within Human Resources and collaborates with the HR team in achieving its strategic goals. Key Responsibilities Work collaboratively with others to develop and implement trusted people analytics and reporting solutions that enable identification and sizing of risks and opportunities and effective workforce governance (establishment). Create and analyse appropriate data models to assist management in decision making at the Executive level and overall University strategy. Support the ongoing evolution of the People Data Platform, performing complex ETL using SQL and Python. Create and develop data models and implement these to continue to improve Griffith University’s workforce analysis, process, systems and solutions. Undertake projects, initiatives and activities to identify, evaluate and prioritise trends, challenges, risks and opportunities and their impacts on Griffith’s workforce and contribute to the development of strategies and interventions to address them. Develop Human Resources data and analytics capability and support customers to build their data acumen through coaching and mentoring. Implement and continue to improve the HR governance approach, processes, cadences; ensuring that projects, initiatives, services and capability comply with relevant legislation and University policies and procedures and values. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and University policies and procedures, including equity and health & safety and exhibit good practice in relation to same. Be a leading example of the principles and values embodied in the University’s Code of Conduct, and behave, act and communicate at all times to reflect fairness, ethics and professionalism. About you The occupant of this position will hold relevant postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Technology or a relevant field, or possess relevant work experience in HR metrics, data analysis, data visualisation tools or workforce management. The occupant will have strong data transformation and modelling skills, with a history of implementing solutions using SQL. Candidates must have full unrestricted Australian work rights and may be subject to a National criminal history check. What we can offer This is a continuing opportunity based at Brisbane South (Nathan). As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations.
