Transport and Main Roads (Organisation site ( ))Business Management; Customer Services; Customer Services Safety & Regulation; Carseldine The Risk and Assurance team develops and implements the Customer Services Branch assurance framework whilst driving the Branch's risk maturity. The team provides oversight of internal risk management and control systems, compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements, and the integrity of the CSB financial statements. In the role of Senior Advisor (Risk & Assurance), you will be responsible for ensuring the Assurance Program is managed efficiently and effectively. You will provide accurate and timely advice in relation to risk and assurance matters and be committed to developing capability across CSB. What you will do: In your role, you will: Lead the CSB assurance program, including control test design and planning to assess the effectiveness of risk controls across CSB. Manage and coordinate the Risk & Assurance Officers in providing guidance and addressing control matters within CSB. Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to effectively manage and advise on branch risk and assurance matters. Monitor and report on assurance program results and recommendations to CSB leadership and stakeholders, including root cause analysis and identifying emerging risks. Identify opportunities to continuously improve team practices, including digital and analytical capabilities. Who we are looking for: An individual with: Experience leading a high performing team with a focus on a collaborative working environment. Effective communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner in various forms. Demonstrated proficiency in risk management and internal control testing across multiple business areas. Strong skills in stakeholder engagement, project management, and/or change management. Tertiary qualification in Risk and Assurance or a similar discipline is desirable though not mandatory.
